Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently clipped, so no mink are killed! The fibres are very soft but very short, so they are often spun together with other fibres to prevent the yarn from breaking while knitting. It can be knitted as a single strand into a lovely shawl or held double to make a cozy sweater. There is not much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
