Winding and knitting: We recommend winding the silk by hand, as it is very "alive" and can easily tangle. We also recommend alternating between the balls when you knit to avoid pooling and to achieve a more even appearance in your knitting, since silk absorbs dye very differently.

Our silk is 100% Mulberry Silk and one of the best on the market. It is knitted on needles 3 - 4. Wooden needles are recommended because silk can be slippery to work with. The silk is rated A on the AKW scale, which means it is suitable for allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin.
